8 coconut oil uses.
The benefits of coconut oil are so many and a lot of people still testify to the wonderful effects of using coconut oil till date.
Unfortunately, a great number of people still have little or no knowledge of how to use coconut oil to its very fullest.
Coconut oil has a lot of benefit in different areas, talking about skin care, hair care, improving digestion and boosting immunity against a lot of diseases.
Coconut oil is known to be effective for every beauty need and its time you knew about them too!
Here are 8 ways you can use coconut oil as your number one beauty product.
Thank me later
8. Face and Body moisturizer
Coconut oil can be used as a good face and body moisturizer.
Coconut oil can be a very good face moisturizer because it contains fatty acids. It is particularly good for people with dry skin. The skin absorbs in the coconut oil leaving your skin looking smooth, healthy and moisturized.
Before applying on the skin, rub the coconut oil in between your palms properly and gently massage the oil into your skin for maximum results.
You can also add coconut oil to your body lotion, mix it properly and let the oil do the rest.
People with oily skin or acne prone skin should use with care.
7. Stretch mark Remover
Coconut oil can be used to remove stretch marks.
Coconut oil can also help to remove stretchmarks from the body just as it can also aid fast wound healing.
To do this, take small amount of coconut oil, rub in between your palm properly and then apply in the affected area twice a day (morning and evening (recommended))
6. Makeup Remover
Coconut oil contains ingredients that melts makeup away. Even the most stubborn glitter glue or mascara doesn’t stand a chance against coconut oil.
To use it, dip your towel or clean clothe into coconut oil and wipe over your face until you are satisfied and then go ahead to wash the rest off with your face soap and clean water.
5. Body Scrub
Coconut oil is also a very good body scrub when mixed with salt or granulated sugar.
All you have to do is to mix coconut oil with a 2 teaspoon of salt or sugar and apply on your skin 10 to 15 minutes before bathing.
Baby watch your skin glow!
4. Lip shine
If you happen to find yourself in the mood to rock a glossy look, coconut oil is just perfect for the job. Aside from keeping your lip moisturized and glossy all day long, coconut oil has a shiny effect on the lips which is why it is one of the ingredients used in liquid bronzers and glittery lipsticks.
3. For Natural hair
No naturalista would mention hair products without adding coconut oil to the list. Coconut oil has an advantage over most other oils because it is capable of locking moisture in the hair and protects the hair from breakage in harsh weather conditions.
The best way to apply this is to take a reasonable amount of coconut oil at a time and work it into your hair from the root to the top and then comb it out before styling.
For a better result, divide your hair into different sections and comb out each section after applying your coconut oil to it.
2. Face mask
Coconut oil can be used as a face mask.
Coconut oil like I mentioned earlier has a moisturizing effect and healthy for the skin.
To make an effective face mask with coconut oil, mix a teaspoon of honey with two teaspoon of coconut oil. After mixing properly, add sugar and black coffee (optional) to the mixture and your face mask is done and ready to be applied.
Apply gradually on the face (avoiding your eyes and lips), leave for 10 to 15 minutes before washing it off.
You can leave out the black coffee if your skin does not react well with it.
1. Add shine to hair
Coconut oil is good for natural and synthetic hair alike. Keep your hair looking shiny, beautiful and last longer with coconut oil.
Take small amounts of coconut oil at a time and apply to your hair. Work your way through from the root to the tip and leave your hair looking shiny and beautiful.
These are more than enough reasons for you to fall in love with the oil like I do.
Make it a thing to always have coconut oil in your beauty bag because you won’t regret it.
