How to apply eyeliner for black women

Why I titled it this way is because I wanted to put emphasis on the need to draw bold and beautiful eyeliner. Drawing your eyeliner is quite easy and this post will guide you with a step by step instructions on how to go about it.

Types of Eyeliner

1. Liquid eyeliner: This Eyeliner is in the liquid format, it’s more watery than the gel Eyeliner.
2. Gel Eyeliner: The gel Eyeliner is gel_like and it requires the use of Eyeliner brush. It is usually compressed in a small pot and the brush is used to apply it on the eye lid.
3. Pencil Eyeliner: Pencil eyeliners are designed to look like pencils. So many people especially beginners find it easier to use pencil eyeliners.

Before Applying Eyeliner

On Eye shadow: If you are applying eye-shadow, be sure to apply your eye-shadow before applying eyeliner. Going the other way will ruin your makeup completely. Note also that eyeliner application is done before applying false lashes.

With  No eye shadow on : If you are not applying eye shadow,  go ahead and apply the eyeliner. Note that its better to draw the brows and blend concealer into your eyelids before applying eyeliner.

How to Apply Eyeliner, step by step.

Step 1.

Before applying eyeliner.

Step 2.

Starting from the center, make a line at the lower part of the eyelid. I would recommend you make it thick if you are not applying eye shadow.

Step 3.

Make a line at the outer eyelid as in the image above. The more you wing, the fatter and longer your eyeliner would be. As a beginner, try not to wing it too much.

Step 4.

After creating a wing, join the wing to the line made at the bottom of the lid as in the photo above. Notice that the line does not start from the very top of the wing, this will help make the tip very sharp and thin.

Step 5.

Here is the final look.
